In 2020, as part of Loeb.nyc, I partnered with ACE Universe, a premier comic con organizer, to create a comprehensive editorial CMS. The project aimed to diversify ACE’s activities and revenue streams, mitigating their reliance on the seasonal nature of live events, especially during the pandemic.
We delivered a responsive editorial CMS and design system, integrated directly into the ACE Comic Con ecosystem. Editorial content promoted upcoming events, while event pages surfaced relevant articles, recaps, and interviews. This created a continuous loop between content and ticketing rather than two disconnected products.

A key challenge was merging two products without confusing users. We carefully mapped the information architecture so ACE Universe felt native to the broader ACE experience. Editorial navigation lived alongside event navigation, preserving traffic flows and protecting ticket conversion paths.

We created a design system inspired by the slanted A from the ACE logo. This diagonal motif became a unifying visual device across layouts, imagery, and components. The system included typography, color scales, grids, cards, and editorial modules designed to scale across platforms.
